Jak 2 Review

Jak and Daxter 1 was amazing, then this one tried to be too much like GTA but failed. There's so much bs involved with the janky mechanics, it was nearly playable because you could put the camera to normal because it's inverted by default. The vehicles get destroyed in a few hits, and hard to control, then you have to do escort missions with them while guards are shooting you. The difficulty is very hard but not the fun kind, coming from someone who 100% souls games this is rage inducing hard. The hoverboard is annoying. 

Shooting is annoying, what made Jak 1 amazing was the mechanics of movement and attacks, like crash bandicoot with a good story. Jak 2 took all that made it good and said we will focus on janky guns starting with a low damage shotgun that you need to be in close range for and bad cars. 

Now i would of put up with it, if it weren't for the game been long for no reason, you have to do like 50 or more missions of the same annoying missions. Not to much the escort missions involving obstacles or they could get killed easy. You have to fend off a lot of enemies and have to use normal attacks with shooting because the gun doesn't have enough ammo. This game aged like milk

The city is annoying too actually, you dont know where tf you going and have to learn the map as the minimap sucks and there's deadends too which makes races even worse. Jak 1 had interesting worlds and creativity but jak 2 you in some gorge orwell 1984 looking place. 

They also made jak edgy too, like sonic unleashed but worse. The anomaly unlocks and new abilities are an upgrade but rarely would be good to use unless you doing a no gun run which is nearly unviable to do. Yknow they messed up jak character when first secret is to remove his goatee. Just thinking about playing this game infuriates me, that's because i rage quit and just debug menu to get the achievements after some bs missions an hour ago.

I'm not giving it a lower score because of mr krabs voice actor. If you think this is good is because of nostalgia, today's standards it's bad. 2003 standards it's still bad, wake up
