Law of Ueki Manga

 Story

Law of Ueki is yet another old manga that has a lot of wholesome intentions and good morals that it teaches just like Dragon Ball its has a good message to give to the shounen demographic. The idea of turning trash into trees, removing trash and making trees is an amazing message for a shounen manga aimed at young boys teaches the important message of recycling in a fun and appealing way for young kids as recycling being a super power which is incredibly wholesome and is definitely a manga you should let your kids read as it teaches them that they have to save the earth by throwing away rubbish. Ueki's character may be dumb and a stupid generic shounen boy, but he has good morals that we could learn, the morals of being righteous and sticking up for others, helping people also being a good Samaritan is what the personalisation of the main character is which is what I think shounen manga should be about to teach younger audiences how to be a good person

Ueki a normal high school boy is nominated for a candidate for god, he is giving this power to turn rubbish into trees and when he uses this power a thing call zai gets lower the lower the zai the lower people like you and when his zai disappears he ceases to exist as well this might of inspired bunny girl senpai as it has a similar phenomenon. A girl called Mori Ai is the only one who likes Ueki, she cares about him and makes sure he doesn’t disappear, but Ueki is a thick-skulled boy who only cares about doing what he wants, he is like your typical shounen protagonist. Mori Ai ends up just running after Ueki getting in trouble and trying to keep up with his shenanigans which for me was funny because of Mori’s reaction to the situations that he got himself into. He becomes a candidate and must fight the other 99 candidates basically a battle royal and if you read my Akira blog you would know that Akira inspired this trend. When Ueki beats one person he gets their power, each candidate has a unique ability and it's enjoyable to see each one fight another and the last person left gets to have a talent of anything they choose.

The story is thrilling and action packed with every fight; it just makes me want to keep on reading with every chapter, each power is interesting as they have certain requirements to work and different dynamics which makes the fights seem more realistic as it’s a lot of strategy which makes it very well done like how all the powers reacts with each other and have to think what plans there are, how to overcome the mechanics of the abilities, in my opinion is a genius way of doing fight scenes as it actually has a lot of heart and effort put into it which makes it seems like there was actually some thought and the mangaka actually cared about it. The art isn’t the best at times its very old style which does reminds me of One Piece manga art work, it gets sloppy later on in the manga as I think the mangaka got bored of it and just wanted to finish the story but I still enjoyed most of it but the real meat of Law Of Ueki is the middle of the manga.

Characters

The bad guys are usually very evil, greedy and troublesome people that are truly sinners, they are the ultimate worse humans out there and Ueki faces the evil had on with the power of recycling; I find it rather funny that his ability is based on recycling and he beats evil people with it (it is kind of ironic in a way) I wish I had found this manga sooner because it is golden because everything about this manga is awe inspiring the comedy is funny as hell at times with the shock comedy and the unexceptional outcomes that Ueki and Mori get themselves into but then can have very passionate and motivational moments about standing up for yourself then keep on fighting which is why I really like shounen genre as it has good teachings and keeps me on living; I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it and made me a better person because of it.

Mori Ai is a short blue haired schoolgirl same age as Ueki with glasses I would describe her as the female Shinpachi, she very under appreciated by Ueki as she is always looking out for him and probably has crush on him. She can come across as extremely strict and moody but that’s because Ueki is always getting into trouble; she does this because she cares. Her tsundere type can be adorable at times when she thinks behind his back cute things about him and have some blushing moments when Ueki saves Mori she is differently the perfect girl for Ueki also there character duo can be funny with their interaction at times.

Ueki has to learn what power means and how great things like power have affects on everything in your life, his progression of learning about great power is also something that could be taught to younger generations because everything has a negative and a positive effect on anything so you have to know how to handle and know what to use that power for a better purpose. Ueki at the beginning is a rather dead eyed brainless character but the more he learnt about justice and being a hero he become a better character, later on he is a kind hearted person who wants to genuinely help others and his ecosystem, he doesn’t just use his power to make trees but plants trees himself to save his small town and if the trees become trash again he can turn them back into trees. This is a manga that all people should take into there life if everyone was like Ueki our world would be a better place and could get rid of global warming.

Thanks for Reading!
