Psychological

Hello minasan!!  it's yo boi coma here, this is gonna be my first "professional" blog even though I'm no where near close to being one but everyone's gotta start somewhere, right? Sorry this blog is a bit too short but regardless enjoy and until next time

Psychological Amino

This post will be about psychological anime, this genre always stuck out to me and fascinated me from the first one I watched (which was death note btw) because it so under appreciated and japan seems to hardly to make them in comparsion to the shonen genre or "school anime" which kinda sucks but I think that just adds to the niché and shows how innovative the genre really is.

The psychological genre delves deep into stuff that people in the outside world tend to keep to themselves and its often not talked about (almost making it taboo in a weird way) The genre is almost avantgarde in a way: for example; shows like neon genesis evangelion portrays the main character (shinji) to go through so much hardship, at the start he is a normal teen that's hasn't had a father figure in his life and he forced by him to suffer a lot of psychological suffering from going to the Eva's

How the program shows this is by the animation being formatted in a way that make the viewer left in confusion, in what just happened and the viewer doesn't fully understand the meaning or purpose of the story until they have got to the end of the story until it finally all snaps into place like a puzzle and then you're completely struck by a mind distortion and epiphany of what just occurred in front of their eyes

Psychology also plays a massive in the Japanese horror genre where it's not all about the jumpscares like in the western region of the world, in the Japanese horror genre it's all about suspense of the something that actually isn't there but the genre does by building up the intensity of the story and the atmosphere to created a very unnervingly terrifying experience

The genre, in my opinion; is very interesting than any other genre because it uses the science of our brains and what effects us day to day, to how we think to, what bothers us and mental psyche so just by understanding this u can change how you think in life or how the human brain works in a various of situations, the way some of these works of fiction convey a plethora of circumstances makes the reader fully understand the main thoughts, feelings, inner workings of there thought process. Etc and can sometimes delve deep inside of some mind boggling wisdom

It reminds me randomly of the dango daikazoku song where the lyrics go somelike if you experience stuff that sad then you can use it to make yourself happy because you experienced something that's sorrowful but with psychological anime it's the same thing like if you experience all these hardships and unfortunate events then you will now have fortune in your life; it's kinda of a optimistic point of view but it's one way of looking at it

Another way of explaining it is; say if all things in life come in a equal amount so if you have to have a bit of everything, if you have all this negative stuff from the psychological animes then you will maybe get postive stuff because you've subconsciously experienced negative stuff, kinda like a placebo effect.

Thanks for reading!
