Disney & Animanga

Image
Welcome to this special blog about the origins of animanga, one of them directly and indirectly coming from Disney themselves, way back when, when they used to be actually creative 30-80 years ago. This blog came to me when I would debate stuff with my friend and they would bring up how Disney created everything, so I decided to finally take inspiration and make a whole bonanza of a blog. Disney Influence on Animation The direct influence that’s the biggest on anime is Hayao Miyazaki, he made his start in the anime industry because of Disney works such as Snow White; he loved the movies how they were in nature that brought whimsical joy to people for all ages that watched it. After struggling with the woes of corporate studios, he went out with some ex employees of Toei such as Takahata and gave up the union they tried to fight for the rights of animators and made their own studio known as Ghibli in the 70s. Disney was a huge reason why Ghibli was made and Miyazaki being a huge activi

Anime Shopping Basket

Image
When I saw the Black Friday challenge, I saw a golden opportunity to have another blog that is outside the box, so I got to thinking about what I would buy. I got my shopping basket and went to the anime world to get the ultimate set of items. That would be practical in real life and also in an anime setting, let’s say a fantasy—for this occasion that I will be buying for my own personal benefit, to make life easier. My journey starts by going to anime land. Buying from the Overlord store. The first thing that comes to mind would be from an isekai because the genre has some busted things in it, so I picked one from the most overpowered dude in any anime, which is Ainz of the anime Overlord. The staff is golden and has jewels on it, but more importantly, its practical use is crazy; assuming it’s passed down from Ainz after the series, then it is broken as hell. It can basically buff the user to insane amounts so they are untouchable; it can also make you an admin, aka a god, and manipu

Dragon Ball Philosophy (RIP Toriyama)

Now we could settle the debate of Goku vs Vegeta who is more stronger but real ones see them and think hell yeah to both, today I will not be saying which is better like the plebeians who can’t like both; instead I will be going over the mindset, teachings and philosophy of these legendary goats. Son Goku Due to the immense popularity of dbz it’s no lie that it’s inspired many others from every age bracket and from all over the globe. Being a fighter anime, the major theme is improving and dbz doesn’t give complex dietary needs or anything to be a hack but has core foundations of pushing yourself beyond and no one other than Goku’s is the prime example of training there is. "Power isn't just about being strong. It's about how well you can control that strength." Goku is all about strength on the outside but a good deal may not know that strength will only get you so if you don’t know how to use that strength, this can be taken literally or mentally too. Literally bein

Interesting Facts About Anime

Image
There’s some interesting stuff that I would like to share that is half silly bizarre facts to some history lesson about anime just to have contrasting themes of the blog but also because it’s just randomness to put into the interwebs. Hope you enjoy this blog, and make sure to comment what you think. Let’s get into it! Horses Are Now Anime? The viral anime about talking horse girls, Uma Musume is based on actual real horses; each one being named after an actual horse that was approved by the actual owners of the horse makes for this anime, you would think nothing until you learn this interesting fact. This makes the anime go from a typical sports anime with the usual dozens of characters to every character actually being important because it’s based on real life, it’s actually something really cool when anime has references to real life or makes something real into anime. It brings my appreciation for said things to another level, Uma Musume may not be as weird as that centaur anime bu

How Bug Inspired The Greatest Anime

Image
It’s no secret that bug catching has been a phenomenon in Japan since the 60s and even before that where it wasn’t as popular, so this obsession with insects has captivated a lot of people to the point that even anime itself biggest franchises have come from a kid who just wants to catch every bug there is. What series could that possibly be, you say? Well, the most popular and widespread anime influenced by catching critters is none other than the legendary Pokemon series. Pocket Monsters If you’re young or even generation z, you may not be familiar with this hobby, as even I myself as a kid had a book filled with critters that you mark off if you see or catch them, this was around the early 2000s which I myself loved. Then when I got a Gameboy color and a copy of pokemon emerald from a family member in 2006, I fell in love with the pokemon world and game. Every night before bed I would play emerald; levelling up my Blastoise and nothing else. I played it so much I think I must have

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Image
Since it’s the time to talk about more anime for the catalog event, I decided to pick an anime that is in my top 3 which is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I watched this anime very early on in my experience and I have yet to see an anime that is as good as this that hit such a cord in me, that I hold it to very deeply in my core. Now, Gurren Lagann is a mecha anime so when people see that they are immediately put off by it as a lot of the genre has some mediocre clones of Gundam but this anime is not like those. In fact, it topples a lot of the Gundam series, sorry die-hard fans of Gundam. Now to be more coherent, I will shorten this anime name to TTGL, fyi so you know. TTGL is about a kid called Simon who finds a robot and just so happens to turn into a mech, Simon and friends go on an epic adventure through the wasteland filled with pure badass-ness fights with just a drill. To pierce the heavens, is the motto of this anime and it shows very well as they came from nothing and aim not j

Frieren Deserves It's Acclaim

Image
Frieren got a lot of positive reputation recently for being the highest-rated anime of all time in its time of airing during the 2nd cour. This isn’t like your typical boosted score from the season, as it’s 23 episodes in and still has a really high rating, so I started it to see why. Boy, was I blown away by the first episode. I knew Madhouse was a powerhouse of anime, and this anime finally showed the studio’s true colors. Now at first, I thought this anime would have been a generic RPG fantasy world anime, but it’s far from that. An elf that is basically immortal or ages very slowly has a party of humans and a dwarf. A few years to her seems like decades, and she goes through the loss of human life through aging; it’s kind of like Maquia, where it’s about mortality, but as a two-cour length anime. Not hitting hard but keeping the sentiment of what it is to be human with beautiful visuals, sound, and animation, with an ending song that hits you right in the heart as well. It just be
